StoryMasterStoryMasterThis program is an ascii text utility that reads ascii text files written in paragraph form and writes a new, clean file reformatted to the user specifications.It repairs farkled text, such as text with high ascii characters inserted into the file and line break errors where one system does not recognize carriage returns of text written on another. Set the left margin, paragraph indentation, number of characters per line and whether to strip double spaces and high ascii characters and run the program. Control characters, such as form feed characters, are stripped by default and the new text file is written to the above settings. The program stores your personal settings and starts each time with the settings that you used last. Can be run by: 1) Dragging a file or files to SM.EXE. 2) DOS commandline for single or multiple files. 3) The included SM-DOALL.BAT, which will process every text file in any directory and any subdirectories. This option allows you to process literally thousands of files resulting in cleaned and identically formatted new files. Works on any text written in paragraph form: Email saved to disk as text. Newsgroup messages saved to disk as text. Cut and paste from browsers saved to disk as text. (If the text is not in a table or frame) Word Perfect or Wordpad files saved as ascii text.
